In this tutorial, we will use our own token, YAE, but the concept is applicable for all tokens you want to add liquidity for.

The first thing is to always make sure to select the proper contract. Keep in mind that all crypto projects are targeted with fake contracts in order to confuse users and steal liquidity from them.

Always triple-check your sources!

In our case, the contract address is 0x4ee438be38f8682abb089f2bfea48851c5e71eaf and you can check the contract details on Etherscan:

https://etherscan.io/token/0x4ee438be38f8682abb089f2bfea48851c5e71eaf

Copy the contract address and go to Uniswap: https://app.uniswap.org/#/pool

Uniswap doesn’t know YAE (yet) so you’ll have to enter the address here:

Paste the contract address in the new screen.

Congrats! It’s now time to add liquidity to the pool.

Connect your wallet and allow Metamask to interact with the YAE contract address. Approve the transactions in your Metamask, you’re done!

Please note providing liquidity on any AMM carries the risk of Impermanent loss, see below an article that discusses this in detail:

Investing in YAE tokens involves the risk of a partial or total loss of the investment. There can be no assurance as to the liquidity of the tokens acquired during the offer, the existence of a secondary market for such tokens, the value of the tokens acquired during the offer, and the equivalent value of these tokens in foreign currency. The YAE tokens do not constitute financial instruments within the meaning of European regulations (MIFID) and do not confer any other rights than those described in our pitch deck and technical white paper. In addition, the regulatory framework applicable to the offer and to the tokens and the tax regime applicable to the holding of the tokens is not currently defined in certain jurisdictions.
